Era Ball
Era Ball vs Other Basketball Sites — airball.gg, Basketball GM & Draftballr
Four Sites, Four Different Jobs
Era Ball is a draft-and-simulate game across NBA decades; airball.gg is daily NBA trivia, Basketball GM is a multi-season franchise simulator, and Draftballr covers real draft prospects. They overlap in audience, not in function.
Era Ball (eraball.com) is a browser game: draft an all-time roster from the 1950s through the 2020s, pick a coach, and simulate a full season and playoffs, with modes including Salary Cap Draft, Weekly Challenge, Era Gauntlet, The League, Head to Head, Mini Games, Card Collection and Achievements. Its identity is the all-time draft and the season simulation on top of it.
airball.gg is a different genre entirely: a collection of free daily NBA quiz and trivia games — bingo, connections, higher-or lower, mystery player and more — with a new game every day and no signup. Where Era Ball is about building a team, airball.gg is about testing what you already know, one day at a time.
Basketball GM is the deepest simulation of the three: a free, open-source, single-player multi-season NBA simulation where you run a franchise — roster moves, trades, the draft, finances — across many seasons. Era Ball compresses basketball history into one draft-and-sim cycle; Basketball GM asks you to manage a team's whole future. Players with a GM streak tend to respect both for different reasons.
Draftballr isn't a game at all: it's a scouting resource for real drafts — consensus draft boards (its headline is 2027 class coverage) across the NBA, NFL, MLB and NHL, with every ranking attributed to independent sources. It answers "who is in the next draft class," not "what happens if Wilt's 1962 team meets the 2017 Warriors."

Which One Fits What You Want

That's Era Ball's exact niche — nobody else on this list asks who you'd take first between a 60s legend and a 2020s MVP. Start at eraball.com with a Normal Draft.
You want to run a franchise for seasons
Basketball GM is built for the long game: multi-season management, trades, drafts and finances. It's the choice if one simulated season feels like a snack.
You want a five-minute daily ritual
airball.gg's daily trivia games are designed for exactly that — a new basketball puzzle every day, free and signup-free.
You follow the real draft
Draftballr's source-attributed consensus boards are for tracking actual prospect classes across four sports — a research tool, not a toy.
They're not mutually exclusive
Plenty of basketball fans keep all four open. Draft in Era Ball, manage in Basketball GM, do the daily airball.gg puzzle, and scout reality on Draftballr.
